​Richard Lichter is the Managing Partner of Causeway. Previously, he founded Newbury Partners which was sold in 2023 to Bridge Investment Group. He has been a senior investment professional in twelve secondary funds and has been responsible for over 150 secondary transactions. Prior to founding Newbury, Richard was Managing Director and Head of Secondary Investments at Auda Private Equity LLC, where he led the sourcing and investment of the Auda Secondary Fund. He was also a co-founder at Lexington Partners, where he was primarily engaged in transaction origination and valuation of secondaries. Richard graduated with an Masters Degree from M.I.T., Sloan School of Management and received an AB from Dartmouth College with Phi Beta Kappa honors.​​

 

Alex Maloney is a Partner of Causeway. He previously served as a Managing Director at Verition Fund Management and has also been a Principal at Squam Rock LLC, helping to form and capitalize a number of boutique investment funds. Alex graduated with an MBA from NYU, Stern School of Business and received a BA from Tufts University.

Karl Thurmond is a Partner of Causeway.  He currently serves on the Board of Governors of Hebrew Union College and is a member of their Investment Committee.  He previously was the Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees, a member of the Executive Committee and Co-Chair of the Capital Campaign of Milken Community School.  Karl owns the Law Office of Karl S. Thurmond and serves as counsel to Maven Growth Partners. Karl graduated with a J.D. from Harvard Law School and received an AB from Dartmouth College.
