Seasoned Primaries in the current fundraising environment have all the advantages of secondaries, but have the added benefit of a much higher cash-on-cash return. Like secondaries, there is asset selection versus the blind pool with a J-curve of primary investing. Most seasoned primaries reside amongst small and middle market funds, which is a particularly attractive market segment.
